The Lord will be as glad to make you prosperous as he was to make your ancestors prosperous, but you will have to obey him and keep all his laws that are written in this book of his teachings. You will have to turn to him with all your heart.
Show me your ways, O Lord, and teach me your paths.
The command that I, Moses, is giving you this day is not too difficult for you. It is not more than you are able to do. You know it and you can quote it, so, now, obey it.
Show me your ways, O Lord, and teach me your paths.
When the true message from God, the Good News or Gospel, first came to you, you heard about the hope it offers. Your faith and love are based on what you hope for, which is kept safe for you in heaven.
Show me your ways, O Lord, and teach me your paths.
We ask God to fill us all with the knowledge of his will, with all the wisdom and understanding that his Spirit gives. Then we will be able to live as the Lord wants, and will always do what pleases him. Our lives will result in all kinds of good deeds, and we will grow in the knowledge of God. We will be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power, and he will give us patience to endure everything that comes to us.
Show me your ways, O Lord, and teach me your paths.
Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind. And love your neighbor the same as you love yourself."
The Pharisee asked, "Who is my neighbor?"
"The one who is kind to others, even to enemies."
Jesus said, "You go then, and do the same."
Show me your ways, O Lord, and teach me your paths.
And so, with joy, we give thanks to the Father, who has made us fit to share in what God has reserved for his people, in his own kingdom.
Show me your ways, O Lord, and teach me your paths.
May God our Father give us grace and peace.
