Alleluia! The Lord is risen!
The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Christ has died;

You know about Jesus of Nazareth, and how God poured out on him the Holy Spirit and power. He went everywhere, doing good and healing all...for God was with him. Then they put him to death by nailing him to a cross.

Christ is risen!

But God raised him from death three days later and caused him to appear, not to everyone, but only to witnesses that God had already chosen, that is, to those of us who ate and drank with him after he rose from death. And he commanded us to preach the Gospel to people everywhere.

Christ will come again!

He is the one whom God has appointed judge of both the living and the dead. All the prophets spoke about him, saying that the sins of everyone who believes in him will be forgiven through the power of his name.

You have, each of you, through your baptism, been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on things in heaven, where Christ sits enthroned at the right hand of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things that belong to earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden now with Christ's life, in God. Your real life is Christ, and when he appears, then you too will appear with him, and share in his glory!

Alleluia! Christ is risen!
The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia!
